The Science of Getting Rich (find free ebook next to home)
There is a thinking stuff from which all things are made, and which, in its original state, permeates, penetrates, and fills the interspaces of the universe.
A thought in this substance produces the thing that is imagined by the thought.
In order to do this, a person must pass from the competitive to the creative mind. Otherwise she cannot be in harmony with formless intelligence, which is always creative and never competitive in spirit.
A person may come into full harmony with the formless substance by entertaining a lively and sincere gratitude for the blessings it bestows upon her. Gratitude unifies the minds of individuals with the intelligence of substance, so that a person's thoughts are received by the formless.
A person can remain upon the creative plane only by uniting herself with the formless intelligence through a deep and continuous feeling of gratitude.
A person must form a clear and definite mental image of the things she wishes to have, to do, or to become, and she must hold this mental image in her thoughts, while being deeply grateful to the supreme that all her desires are granted to her. The person who wishes to get rich must spend her leisure hours in contemplating her vision, and in earnest thanksgiving that the reality is being given to her.
Too much stress cannot be laid on the importance of frequent contemplation of the mental image, coupled with unwaivering faith and devout gratitude. This is the process by which the impression is given to the formless and the creative forces set in motion.
The creative energy works through the established channels of natural growth, and of the industrial and social order. All that is included in her mental image will surely be brought to the person who follows the instructions given above, and whose faith does not waiver. What she wants will come to her throught the ways of established trade and commerce.
In order to receive her own when it is ready to come to her, a person must be in action in a way that causes her to more than fill her present place. She must keep in mind the purpose to get rich through realisation of her mental image. And she must do, every day, all that can be done that day, taking care to do each act in a successful manner.
She must give to every person a use value in excess of the cash value she receives, so that each transaction makes for more life, and she must hold the advancing thought so that the impression of increase will be communicated to all with whom she comes into contact.
Everyone who practice the foregoing instructions will certainly get rich, and the riches they receive will be in exact proportion to the definiteness of their vision, the fixity of their purpose, the steadiness of their faith, and the depth of their gratitude.
The Ultimate Secret To Wealth And Fulfillment - Dr John Demartini
Therefore, you’d be wise to make your spiritual life a business and your business life a spiritual experience. In other words, incorporate your heart, mind, and soul into your business. Put your spirit into your work. Pour on your inspiration. The most fulfilled people I’ve met are the ones who are inspired. They act like missionaries for their work. They put their spirit and inspiration into their interactions with those they meet, and they receive magnificent rewards in return.
You’d be wise to remember that, just as you are light, all matter including money is ultimately light. In fact, the word gold comes from the Hebrew aour, which means “light.” The only things keeping you and money apart are the limiting beliefs you hold about it.
Love and appreciation are powerful magnetic forces. If you don’t know how to love and appreciate wealth, if you unconsciously resist and mistrust it by misunderstanding its true nature, why would it be drawn to you? But when you transcend any limiting illusions about wealth and embrace it as a manifestation of spirit-matter, it walks right up and offers itself to you. You either attract abundance into your life or you keep it away, depending on how you think and feel. When spirit (cause) and matter (effect) come equally and fully together in your consciousness, heaven is born. If you would love to get to heaven, you would be wise to learn how to love and appreciate spiritual matter, including its earthly form called wealth.
To Be Is to Do Is to Have
If you want to make a spiritual difference and do a tremendous material service for the world, you’re going to be faced with the other side of the equation, where receiving and having abundance reside. In other words, to be is to do is to have. As strange as it may seem, the more you rise up in spirit or grace, the more power you’ll have to manifest wealth. Intangible spirit and tangible matter are like the two sides of a golden coin, and if you reject either side you don’t get to keep the richness of such gold.
As you’ve already learned, one of the great secrets of manifesting prosperity is to simply love and appreciate your life. It may seem harder to be grateful for life when you long for beauty, possessions, and experiences you think you can’t have, and for gifts you desire, yet feel you can’t give to yourself. That produces an ungrateful state, or “endarkenment” of spirit, a sense of being in dis-grace, and it’s a powerful wealth repellent that will persist until you wake up to the indivisibility of spirit and matter and learn to embrace and appreciate both equally.
It’s revitalizing and wise to allow yourself to be, do and have the things you love. It’s your divine birthright. I often meet people who say, “No, I’ve risen above such superficial desires or petty needs. I only think in terms of spirituality. I don’t judge people by their material possessions or achievements. I just look at the quality or essence of the person, not their existence.” But if a highly accomplished person who does and has a lot approaches them, one who radiates great confidence about who he or she is in the world, you can watch these same people literally shrink and withdraw from the high achiever because of their own relatively diminished self-worth. They put themselves down because they feel less than they could be in comparison. Because they haven’t yet discovered where they’re giving and receiving, they feel less worthy. But deep inside their heart, they know that all is spiritual matter, and it’s all worthy of respect or honour.
There actually exists a state of equilibrium. You receive in exact proportion to the value you give. Therefore, what you do and what you have definitely say a lot about who you are. If you have many clients and enterprises and huge resources and give a great deal of service to the world, you’re seen as an important person. But if you do nothing and have nothing, society around the world will label you as being a “nobody.” The many lopsided religious ideals concerning money are often the source of such diminished human feelings. Wise or unwise, that’s the nature of humanity, and if you’re honest, you’ll admit that you feel the same way about yourself.
There’s a model in psychology that says nothing matters but your being—who you are—and it has nothing to do with what you do or have. That model is misguided idealism. If you put someone in a state of just “being” by taking away all their “doings” and “havings,” you’ll see that as they fall in society, they’ll also descend in self-image and self-worth. As long as you’re alive in your body, you can’t separate the three aspects of being, doing, and having. If you don’t have anything and don’t do anything, you’ll be unable to avoid feeling less worthy.
That’s because your service to the world (production) and what you’re willing to receive for it (compensation) combine to make up who you are. Life is designed to make sure you express your unique talents and find fulfillment.
